Knights of Columbus Council #2208 at 174 N. Main Street, New Haven, KY 40051 US - Family Activity- Family Day at the Ulrich's -Summer Fun for all!!

Our Council decided it needed to get our Council's families together more often to help bring about lasting friendships and fraternity among our members. Don Ulrich is our Council's Family Director and the person who is the Chairman of this get together at his farm in the Boston, KY area. Don and his wife Theresa can be reached at 502-549-8042 or email at ulrichs10@yahoo.com Don barbecued Brats and hamburgers to perfection and there was so much food brought by everyone that it was an incredible feast...There were atleast 25 members of our Council there with their families. So we had about 72 people who came in all, including 20-30 children who had fun playing in the swimming pool or riding the pony that Joe Hess brought for the kid's to ride-hitched to a three seater buggy. Our Knights enjoyed drinking beer and playing cornhole and horseshoes. Fr. Jefferey Leger and Father Tom Clark came and blessed the occasion. This was a very important event that really kicked off our Summer of activities for our Council.  We needed to have this break on a Sunday afternoon in late June to get us ready for the New Year of Service for our Council.  This event took place on June 22nd, 2008 and couldn't be considered in last years' reports so I included this in our current year's reports. Our new Family director has been a great help to me and our Council and I just want everyone at the State level to know that my job is too easy because of such great members like Don Ulrich.
